Immerse Yourself in Cinematic Enchantment: A Journey to the Ajanta-Ellora International Film Festival

This news is important for the cine-goers who are eagerly waiting for the Ajanta Ellora International Film Festival. The 9th edition of the Ajanta-Errol International Film Festival, which brings the best films from around the world to the audience in Marathwada, will begin on January 3.


The festival will be inaugurated today at Rukmini Auditorium, MGM premises, Sambhajinagar

Presented by Nath Group, Mahatma Gandhi Mission and Yashwantrao Chavan Center District Center Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and organized by Marathwada Art Culture and Film Foundation, the Ajanta Verul International Film Festival is being held in collaboration with the Government of Maharashtra. The Paa Festival has received special support from Prozone Mall. The festival will be co-hosted by NFDC and Department of Cultural Affairs, Government of Maharashtra Daily Hunt is the digital partner Nath School of Business Management and Technology (NSBT) Abhyudaya Foundation is the co-organizer of the festival MGM School of Film Arts is the academic partner of the festival and MGM Radio FM 90.8 is the radio partner.

The inauguration of the Ajanta Ellora International Film Festival will be held at Rukmini Auditorium at 7.30 pm today. The festival will be inaugurated by noted Hindi film director R Balki. Renowned Hindi film director Anubhav Sinha will be the chief guest on the occasion. Renowned lyricist and screenwriter Javed Akhtar will be honoured with the Padma Bhushan for his contribution to Indian cinema.

The chief guest of the event will be NFDC Senior Officer Gauri Nayar, District Collector Astik Kumar Pandey, Deputy Managing Director of Film City Mumbai Sanjay Krishnaji Patil, Chairman of the organizing committee Nandkishore Kagliwal, Chancellor of MGM University Ankushrao Kadam, Festival Director Ashok Rane and Artistic Director of the festival Chandrakant Kulkarni. Half an hour after the opening ceremony, this year's globally acclaimed German-language film Fallen Lives will be screened as the opening film of the festival at Upnox, Pozon Mall. After the opening ceremony, the next four days of the festival will be held at Inox, Prozone Mall.

A number of activities are planned during the five-day event. Like last year, an Indian team has been included in the festival. This includes 9 films in different Indian languages and a national jury with an audience.

The award carries a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh, a Golden Lotus Award for the best feature film on Indian cinema, and individual prizes for the best screenplay and best actor (male / female).



The film will be screened at the Ajanta Ellora International Film Festival.
On January 4, 2024, at 2 pm, a master class of R Balki, the director of the famous Hindi films' Paa ',' Cheeni Kum ',' Ghoomar ',' Shamitabh ',' Padman 'will be held at INOX.

- 4th January 2024 - A revealing interview of veteran lyricist and dialogue writer Padma Shri Javed Akhtar is being organized at INOX, Prozone Mall at 6 pm. Renowned film director Jayaprada Desai will interact with them.
Anubhav Sinha, director of Hindi films' Article 15 ',' Thappad ',' Ra One ',' Mulk ', will host a master class at Inox, Prozone Mall on 5 January 2024 at 2 pm.

On 6th January 2024, at 2.30 PM, a special lecture on Gandhi and Cinema by Shri Prakash Magdum, Senior Officer, Government of India-PIB will be held.
6th January 2024 - Meet the Directors session at 6.30 p.m., an exclusive interaction with all the Directors of Indian Cinema Group. The audience will be able to interact with the directors of these films through Q & A sessions.
January 7, 2024 - At 12 noon, a special interaction will be held with veteran actor and director Dhritiman Chatterjee on understanding Mrinal Sen. Shri Chatterjee has played the lead actor in many of the films of legendary filmmaker Mrinal Sen.
